Public Budget Hearing Scheduled for Tuesday, May 8 The district has scheduled a public budget hearing for Tuesday, May 8 at Durgee Junior High School cafeteria to provide the community with details on the proposed 2018-2019  budget. The meeting opens at 6:30 p.m. with a Meet the Board of Education Candidates session, followed by the hearing at 7:00 p.m. The budget vote is scheduled for Tuesday, May 15 from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Baker High School auditorium. You can find all of the district's budget information on our website by clicking HERE.     Schedule for Last Week of School, June 18-22, 2018  The district has announced the schedule for the last week of school in June. You can read the schedule HERE.     Durgee Social Studies Teachers to be Recognized for Excellence The Central New York Council for the Social Studies (CNYCSS) has recognized the ninth-grade social studies teachers of Durgee Junior High School for their commitment to providing students with a strong Social Studies foundation and contributing to the field of Social Studies education. The CNYCSS will honor Jennifer AuClair, Lisa Froelick, Amy Stewart and Kelly Will at its annual spring dinner on May 17 with the 2018 Outstanding High School Social Studies Teacher award.     BOCES to Honor Baker Senior for Automotive Achievement The Syracuse Auto Dealers Association has recognized senior Adam Cooper with its Student Achievement Award due to his outstanding achievements in the OCM BOCES Automotive Program. He will receive a plaque and a set of tools at a special luncheon at BOCES on May 8.     Band Director to Receive Inspirational Educator Award Casey Vanderstouw, band teacher at Baker High School and the district's marching band director, has been selected to receive a 2018 Clarkson University Inspirational Educator Award. The university selected award winners from nominations submitted by the school's senior class. Gabrielle Piraino, Baker High School Class of 2014, nominated Vanderstouw. He will receive his award during the university's commencement weekend, May 11 and 12.
