Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

The annual budget vote and Board of Education elections will be held on Tuesday, May 21st at the District Operations Building on main campus. The 2024-2025 proposed budget maintains all student programming and staffing levels, including our school resource officer and special patrol resource officer program and extracurricular activities for students in prekindergarten to 12th grade. I want to make sure voters have all the accurate information available before they go to the polls. The Basics:

When is the vote? From 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21st

Where do you vote? Voting will be held again this year at the District Operations Building located on the main campus. The building is located next to the District Office in the former Transportation Center at 29 East Oneida Street.

Who can vote? To be eligible to vote, you must be:

  1. Eighteen years of age or older;

  2. A citizen of the United States; and

  3. A resident of the district for 30 days prior to the vote.

Learn More About the 5 Board Candidates:

The community will have the opportunity to vote for four board members.

Two board positions are for three-year terms commencing May 22, 2024 through June 30, 2027. One board position is for a three-year term commencing July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027. The fourth board position fills a vacancy from May 22, 2024 through June 30, 2025.

I have a few announcements to share with you today: 

Calendar Reminders:

  • Our Special Champions Event is Monday, May 20th at 10 a.m. at Pelcher-Arcaro Stadium. 
  • There is no school for all students on Friday, May 24. 
  • There is no school for all students and district offices are closed on Monday, May 27th in observance of Memorial Day. 
  • The schedule for the end of the school year is posted on our website. 

Highlights from Athletics:

  • Congratulations to our Boys Track and Field team for winning the SCAC Metro Division Championship Meet on Thursday! 
  • Congratulations to our Girls Crew senior and junior four-boat teams for earning a bid to nationals at the New York State High School Championship last weekend. The senior team placed first out of nine teams in its varsity four-person boat petite final and the junior team finished first in its junior/U17 four-person boat petite final. The crew team will compete on Saturday at the Syracuse Chargers Invitational on Onondaga Lake. Nationals will be held on May 24th and 25th in New Jersey.
  • Good luck to our Girls Varsity Flag Football team as they compete in the Section III Division 1 Championship at 7 p.m. tonight at Henninger High School. The Bees will face Syracuse East in the championship game. Tickets for all Sectional play must be purchased online via HomeTown Ticketing. Go Bees! 
  • Good luck to our Boys Tennis team as they compete in the Section III team championship against Fayetteville Manlius at 4:30 p.m. today at the North Syracuse Junior High School Tennis Courts. No tickets needed. Go Bees! 
  • Good luck to our Boys and Girls Track and Field athletes, our Girls Varsity Golfers and our Boys Varsity Tennis players as they compete in sectionals next week. Go Bees!
