Dear Parents, Guardians and Staff,
I hope everyone had a great week back after Thanksgiving break. This is always a fun and exciting time of the year with holiday concerts, special events, and community and family traditions!
I want to take this opportunity to encourage our families and staff members to remember to vote on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the District Operations Building on main campus. There is one proposition on the ballot for our Capital Improvement Project to Enhance Our Hive! We appreciate your support!
At the start of the school year, we solicited the help of our award-winning Baker News team to help us educate the public on this important and multi-year capital project. A team of dedicated and talented students produced eight professional, informative videos that we have shared with the community over the past two months. I want to encourage you to take the time to watch these videos to learn more about how this Capital Improvement Project will positively impact our district and community.

The following students spent countless hours filming, producing and editing these incredible videos: Alyssa White, Owen Johnson, Cate Johnson, Victoria Ososkalo, Quinn Rost, Evan Beckwith and Kamryn Lopez-Smith. The amazing drone footage featured in these videos was captured by Owen Johnson and Declan Downes. A huge thank you also goes out to Leslie Cartier, Baker’s library media specialist, film teacher and Baker News director, for her extraordinary leadership and guidance with this project. Go Bees!
As you prepare to head to the polls on Tuesday, I want to make sure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision. Visit our website at www.bville.org/capitalproject to view project photos and renderings, answers to dozens of frequently asked questions and numerous infographics. We held a public hearing on Monday evening on the project. You can watch the video here. I also recently sat down with Pac-B TV’s Cindy Clarke to answer questions about the project. You can watch the interview on YouTube. If you have questions about this project or the vote, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Please continue to check ParentSquare, your email and our website at www.bville.org, for important updates. As always, please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
Have a great weekend! Go Bees!
Sincerely,
Dr. Joseph M. DeBarbieri
