Announcements for Friday, September 13, 2024

Posted Date: 09/13/24 (02:02 PM)

Dear Parents, Guardians and Staff,

I hope everyone had a great first full week of school! I had the pleasure of attending curriculum nights at Elden Elementary, Ray Middle School (6th graders) and Durgee Junior High School. It’s wonderful to see our parents and families in our school buildings. Next week, Van Buren, Reynolds and Ray Middle School (7th graders) will host curriculum nights. I encourage families to participate and spend some time in our buildings with our staff.

I have a few announcements to share with you today:

  • We will be hosting the Community Café again this year to bring together students, staff, parents and community members to discuss important topics impacting the school district. Guests will gather in small groups as we share ideas, perspectives and light refreshments. All meetings will be held at C.W. Baker High School in the cafeteria. The first café will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 16th. The topic discussed will be How to Get Parents Involved in Schools. Registration is required.

  • We are pleased to announce that tickets for our Marching Bees Home Show will be free for Baldwinsville residents. The Home Show will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 21st at Pelcher-Arcaro Stadium. Get your free tickets today on TicketLeap. Gates open at 5 p.m. This is the 50th season for our Marching Bees and it's off to a great start! The band placed first at the Jordan-Elbridge show with the highest score of any band in the National class. The Bees are back in action on Saturday at Mohonasen High School in Schenectady. Go Bees!

  • Our athletic teams are also off to a great start. Good luck to all of our student-athletes who are in action this weekend!

Have a great weekend! Go Bees!

Please continue to check ParentSquare, your email and our website at www.bville.org, for important updates. As always, please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Dr. Joseph M. DeBarbieri
