Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

As we move through the final days of January, winter has certainly made its presence known with the recent snowstorm and arctic temperatures. I hope everyone is staying warm and safe. Thank you for your continued flexibility and support as we navigate winter conditions together. Our top priority will always be the safety of our students.

I have a few announcements to share with you today: 

Senior High Area All State

Congratulations to the eight C.W. Baker High School students selected to attend the Senior High Area All State at Ithaca College today and Saturday. Go Bees!

Musical Tickets

The curtain rises on Thursday! The Baldwinsville Theater Arts Program will present Meredith Willson’s The Music Man from February 5th to 8th. Online tickets are still available at www.bvilletheater.com. Tickets are available at no cost to the public. No online fees are assessed for free tickets. 

Athletics

Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Indoor Track & Field teams who had an impressive showing at the 2026 SCAC Metro Championships. Our boys team placed first overall and our girls team placed second. Congratulations to all student-athletes who placed at the meet. Here’s a look at our first place finishers: 

• Kamryn Barton – Girls 1000m and Girls 1500m 

• Girls 4x800m Relay team (Yolanda Wei, Samantha Donardo, Madelyn Donhauser and Kamryn Barton)

• Camden Davis – Boys Weight Throw

• Ella Foster – Girls Pole Vault

• Doug Clark – Boys Pole Vault

• Kayden Gilbert – Boys Long Jump

Congratulations to our Girls Cheerleading team who took second place last weekend in their first competition of the season! Congratulations also go out to cheerleaders Sophia Bush and Kyleigh Sheldon for earning SCAC All-League honors on Thursday. Go Bees!

Good luck to Boys Bowlers who compete in Sectionals at 9 a.m. on Sunday! Go Bees!

February Calendar Reminders

• Winter Break will be held on February 16th to 20th. There is no school for all students.

• District offices will be closed on Monday, February 16th in observance of President’s Day.

• Our next Community Café will be held on Thursday, February 26th. The topic is Project-Based Learning. Mark your calendars!
