Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

This week we celebrated the 100th day of school for our Hive! On Thursday, many of our elementary classrooms participated in fun, hands-on activities to honor this milestone, and students impressed us all with their elaborate “100-year-old” costumes. The creativity and enthusiasm were truly a highlight of the day! Be sure to visit our social media pages to enjoy the wonderful photos capturing these memorable moments.


I have several announcements to share with you today: 

Regional Spelling Bee


Please join me in congratulating our four outstanding students who have earned the right to compete in the final oral round of the Syracuse.com | Post-Standard Spelling Bee! After winning their individual school spelling bees, these talented students advanced through the online regional round to qualify for the final local competition. They will compete on March 21st at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. The winner of the regional competition will go on to represent Central New York at the Scripps National Spelling Bee. We are so proud of your hard work and dedication. Congratulations to:

Nora Goss, Ray Middle School (Grade 6)

Kiarash Hosseini, Ray Middle School (Grade 7)

Samuel Meriwether, Durgee Junior High School (Grade 8)


Math League


Earlier this month, C.W. Baker High School’s Math League had an outstanding showing, with three students earning spots on the regional team. Congratulations to Daniel Buske, Rory Heywood and Rosalie Kraynak, who will represent Team Onondaga at the New York State Math League competition on April 18 at Webster Thomas High School in Webster, N.Y. They will compete against top students from across the state. Go Bees!


Athletic Update


  • Congratulations to Cael Bruce, the Section III Champion wrestler at 126-pound weight class.

  • Congratulations to Levi Schanzenbach, the Section III Champion wrestler at 132-pound weight class. 

  • Cael Bruce and Levi Schanzenbach are in Albany this weekend for the New York State Wrestling Meet. Go Bees!

  • Miley Basilio competes in the NYSPHSAA Gymnastics State Championships on Saturday in Utica! Go Miley!

  • The first day of the Boys and Girls Bowling Section III Shootout was held on Thursday. The following bowlers will move on to the final day of the shootout on Monday, March 2nd. Congratulations and good luck to Wesley Lell, Zenon Gasiorowski and Samantha Hass. Go Bees!

  • Congratulations to our Girls Junior Varsity Basketball team on their undefeated season! 

  • The Girls Varsity Basketball team will compete in the Section III Class AAA Sectional semifinal round at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3rd at Corcoran High School. The Bees will play the winner of the Cicero-North Syracuse vs. Syracuse West game, which will be held this evening. Go Bees!


BTAP Production


Mark your calendars for an unforgettable evening of theater! The Baldwinsville Theater Arts Program proudly presents Radium Girls by D.W. Gregory on March 20th and 21st! Based on the powerful true story of the dial painters who made labor history, Radium Girls brings to life the courage, resilience and fight for justice that changed workplace safety standards forever. Tickets will be available for public reservation on Monday, March 2nd at 5 p.m. (Tickets are free.) Don’t miss this compelling and inspiring production. Come support our talented students and experience a story that still resonates today!


District Art Show


You're invited to check out the Secondary All District Art Show at the Baldwinsville Public Library where we will be showcasing the incredible talent of our students from grades 6 to 12. The event will feature a variety of artistic expressions, from painting and sculpture to digital media and photography, all created by our talented students. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their hard work and creativity. The opening reception will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4th at the Baldwinsville Public Library.


Bees Bands:


  • Congratulations to our Indoor Drumline who took first place in their first show on February 21st at Auburn. Their next competition is on Saturday in Liverpool. Go Bees!

  • Our ERA, JV and Varsity Winter Guard groups will be competing on Saturday in Central Square. ERA's show Golden and JV's show The Shadows have already earned them first place finishes in previous competitions. Go Bees!


2026-2027 Calendar


The Board of Education approved the 2026-2027 district calendar at Monday’s board meeting. The calendar is available on our website.
