Welcome to the Hive, Deputy Clarke!

The Baldwinsville Central School District is excited to welcome Deputy Percy Clarke to the McNamara Elementary School as the school’s new Special Patrol Resource Officer (SRPO). Deputy Clarke officially joined the McNamara community on Friday and is already looking forward to getting to know students, staff and families.

Deputy Clarke brings more than 30 years of law enforcement experience at the federal, state and local levels. He retired from the New York State Police in 2022 and has since served with the Skaneateles Village Police, Syracuse Airport Police and Town of Manlius Police. While with the Town of Manlius Police Department, he was assigned exclusively to the East Syracuse Minoa School District as a School Resource Officer.

His career has also included experience outside of law enforcement. Before entering the field, Deputy Clarke taught Special Education in Jacksonville, Florida, and he played professional rugby.

A lifelong advocate for athletics and youth activities, Deputy Clarke enjoys attending and coaching a variety of sports, including lacrosse, rugby, football and wrestling. He has coached wrestling and lacrosse since 1998 and still enjoys playing lacrosse himself.

Deputy Clarke lives in Marcellus with his wife, Joanna, daughters Bella and Sophia and son Seamus.
