Announcements for Friday, November 1, 2024

Posted Date: 11/01/24 (1:10 PM)

Dear Parents, Guardians and Staff,

I had the pleasure of attending the New York State Field Band Conference Championships on Sunday at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse. Our Marching Bees had a spectacular performance and placed second in a very competitive National Class. The band earned a score of 95.6, which was the second highest in the entire state. They also received awards for high visual and high overall general effect! I’m so proud of the students' hard work this season. The Marching Bees are traveling to East Rutherford, New Jersey this weekend to compete in the US Bands Open Class National Championships at MetLife Stadium - home of the New York Giants and New York Jets. Go Bees!

I have a few announcements to share with you today:

  • I hope you had the opportunity to learn more about our multi-year capital improvement project, which will go before voters on December 10, 2024. We solicited the help of our award-winning Baker News students to produce a series of videos to help inform the public about the project. The second video in the series is available now. Watch it here. Visit our capital project webpage to learn more about the project.
