Announcements for Friday, November 7, 2025

Posted Date: 11/07/25 (2:26 PM)

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

I had the pleasure of getting a sneak peek of The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition this morning with our third graders and I am truly impressed. The talent, energy and dedication our students bring to the stage and behind the scenes is nothing short of fantastic! From the moment the curtain rises, you’ll be amazed by their hard work, passion and creativity. I sure was and the third graders also loved it! I hope many of you have secured tickets for this weekend’s performances, “you are off to see the wizard!” Go Bees!

Members of the Board of Education and leadership team had the privilege of officially opening the new gymnasium at Durgee Jr. High School last night. Please make sure you check out the venue at an upcoming event. Thank you to our Pep Band and Modified 7/8 Boys Red, Black, and White Basketball players and coaches for making the first event a success. Go Bees!

Today is the end of the first marking period (Grades 6-12). Report cards will be available in the ParentPortal on Friday, November 15th. The first trimester (Grade PK-5) ends on November 25th. Keep up the great work, Bees!

Also, I want to remind everyone that there is no school for all students and district offices are closed on Tuesday, November 11th in observance of Veteran’s Day. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the veterans in our district for their bravery, dedication and service to our country! Our Marching Bees will be helping to honor our local veterans on Saturday as they perform in the 2025 CNY Veterans Parade, which starts at noon at the NYS Fairgrounds.
