Announcements for Friday, November 21, 2025

Posted Date: 11/21/25 (2:11 PM)

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

This is the time of year when we pause to reflect on and express the many things we are grateful for. I want to take a moment to share my sincere appreciation for our entire school community. To our teachers and staff, thank you for your unwavering dedication and for continually going above and beyond each day for our students. To our parents and families, thank you for your partnership and the trust you place in us. Your support strengthens everything we do as educators. I am truly grateful for each of you. Go Bees!

The Thanksgiving holiday break begins on Wednesday, November 26th. There is no school for students from Wednesday to Friday. District offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday. As a reminder we are having our annual "Go Home Early" Drill on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. All schools will be dismissed 15 minutes early to conduct the mandatory safety drill.

I have a few announcements to share with you today:

German National Honor Society:

  • On Tuesday, the German National Honor Society of Baldwinsville held its second annual induction ceremony. Three students made it into this honorable group:

    • Gavin Butler

    • Rory Heywood

    • Nicole Sherpa

Glueckwunsch! (Congratulations) and Go Bees!

Go Bees! Athletics:

  • Best of Luck to Swimmer Olivia McManus who is competing in the NYSPHSAA Swimming Championships, which begins today! Olivia is competing in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly. Go Olivia!

  • Congratulations to Kamryn Barton who placed 22nd in the Division A at the NYSPHSAA Cross Country Championships last weekend. Great job, Kamryn.

Paige’s Pajamarama:

Thank you to everyone who supported Paige's Pajamarama today. We love seeing the kids so excited to wear PJs at school. The event supports the Paige's Childhood Cancer Fund and all of these funds go to support local children and their families who are battling cancer. This is also a friendly competition with our neighboring school districts and there’s still time to make a donation! Donations to the Baldwinsville fundraiser can be made online

Last Call for 2025 Holiday Greeting Card Contest:

The District Office for the Baldwinsville Central School District is seeking a design for our 2025 digital holiday greeting card and we need your help. We are calling all BCSD elementary school students to submit the cover art for our 2025 holiday card. Learn more on our website.

Please continue to check ParentSquare, your email and our website at www.bville.org, for important updates. As always, please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

Have a great weekend. Go Bees!

Sincerely,

Dr. Joseph M. DeBarbieri

Superintendent of Schools
