Announcements for Friday, December 5, 2025
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,
I hope everyone returned from Thanksgiving break feeling rested and recharged. This time of year is packed with holiday concerts, community events and traditions that bring our Hive together in wonderful ways!
Thank you to all of our families for your patience and flexibility as we navigated this week’s winter weather. We make every decision with the safety and well-being of our students, staff and families at the forefront. While our team carefully assesses conditions each day, we believe the safest place for students is typically in school, where they are well-supported and supervised. At the same time, if you feel that travel conditions in your immediate area are unsafe, you always have the option to keep your child home. Our bus drivers and transportation staff continue to do an outstanding job ensuring students arrive safely each day, even in challenging weather. As always, we appreciate your partnership and understanding as we move through the winter season together.

Report Cards
Trimester 1 Report Cards for students in Pre-K to 5th grade are now available in ParentSquare.
NYSSMA All State Conference
Baker musicians are participating in the prestigious 2025 NYSSMA All-State Performing Ensemble this weekend in Rochester. Congratulations again to the students and staff who are part of this esteemed program.
Concert Livestreams
There are several band, orchestra and chorus concerts coming up and those taking place in the Baker auditorium will be live streamed on our BHS Theater YouTube channel. You can watch live performances or rewatch recordings. Don’t forget to share the link with family and friends!
2025 Holiday Greeting Card Contest:
We have a winner in our 2025 Holiday Greeting Card Contest. Congratulations to Aurora Cazzolli, 4th Grade, Van Buren Elementary School. Check out her amazing artwork and the entries of our finalists on our Facebook page! Thank you to everyone who voted, we know how hard it was to pick a winner! Aurora’s winning artwork will be featured on our District Office’s digital holiday greeting card.
December Calendar Reminders
There’s a half day for elementary students (PK to 5th Grade) on Wednesday, December 10th for Parent-Teacher Conferences.
Holiday Break begins on Monday, December 22nd. Students and staff return to school on Monday, January 5th.
District offices are closed on Thursday, December 25th and Thursday, January 1st.
