Announcements for Friday, October 25, 2024

Posted Date: 10/25/24 (1:07 PM)

Dear Parents, Guardians and Staff,

To help us educate the school community and our district residents about the multi-year capital improvement project, which will go before voters on December 10, 2024, we have solicited the help of our award-winning Baker News students. The Baker News team is producing a series of videos to highlight the details of the multi-year, three-phase capital improvement project. The first video in the series was released today. Watch it here. Great work, Bees!

I have a few announcements to share with you today:

  • You’re invited to join us for our Community Café on Tuesday, October 29th at C.W. Baker High School in the cafeteria. The topic discussed will be Cell Phone Use & Social Media in Schools. The Community Café, which will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., is an opportunity to bring together students, staff, parents and community members to discuss important topics impacting the school district. Guests will gather in small groups as we share ideas, perspectives and light refreshments. Registration is required. We hope you can join us!

  • Parent Survey on Generative AI: The P-12 Survey on Generative AI in Education aims to gather insights from educators, students, and parents about the impact of Generative AI – technology that creates new content like text and images – on education. As these AI tools are increasingly integrated into learning and administrative processes, the survey seeks to identify both the opportunities and challenges they present. Your feedback will help inform decisions about how to effectively incorporate Generative AI to enhance learning, creativity, and academic growth. Thank you for participating! The survey closes on Friday, November 1.

Please continue to check ParentSquare, your email and our website at www.bville.org, for important updates. As always, please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

Have a great weekend! Go Bees!

Sincerely,

Dr. Joseph M. DeBarbieri
